Dermatology is a branch of medicine that studies the human skin. It comes from the words derma and logos which mean skin and reason respectively. Basically it has something to do with studying the hair, skin, nails and their disorders. A person who practices dermatology, a dermatologist, diagnose and treat these disease. He or she also prevents these from happening by prescribing ways to improve overall skin health.
