Anesthesiology is a branch of medical science that deals with managing and relieving pain during medical procedures such as during surgery. It does not merely cover the practice of keeping patients who going under the knife unconscious during painful procedures; it is also responsible for keeping away pain from
patients who have to undergo procedures that require them to stay awake. The role of people practicing anesthesiology, or anesthesiologists, has a very critical impact in team procedures especially during a major surgical procedure, as they are responsible for keeping the vital signs of the patient stable aside from keeping them from feeling pain.
